about

"Jedi mind trix" was produced and arranged by Kraze One and featured on a True Element promotional CD that was put together in 2001 by the group entitled "The Road Less Travelled". The recording was created using the accapella of a previous version of the track recorded and released in 2000 as part of the "Unmanufacturable" CD.

"Jedi mind trix" was based on an idea created by DJ Maniphest who looped the main sample and first drum beat using an Atari computer during the mid 1990s. When Kraze One and DJ Maniphest met in 1996 they exchanged demo tapes and began working together. DJ Maniphest eventually decided he was not going to build on the idea and lent the two samples to Kraze One for use with the True Element project.

In 1999 Kraze One recreated and built upon DJ Maniphest's original idea adding several additional samples and creating an arrangement. Kraze One, DJ Maniphest and Fa-Real then added the vocals and scratches on what would become the first (Unmanufacturable CD) recording. The accapella retrieved from the first recording session then became the basis of this version reworked by Kraze One in 2001.

lyrics

[[Fa-Real]]
Yo is it hype enough, I got the good stuff
The beats are mad tuff
Cos we've all gotta show a little love
To the True Element Crew in the house hu
Grab your part na, just dance na
Step to it let the music enhance ya
We'll entrance ya, to the rhythm
The crowds want hype so hype's what we give em
And this is dope of the musical kind
And you'll never get doper that this in your time
As we define, the thin line
Between lyrical styles and whats his and mine
Word perfect line by line
Politically correct you can suck mine
Take your time don't get left behind
As I burn the mic like a piece of pork rhine.

[[Kraze One]]
Verbalise I get wise up top, lyrics I drop
Make the world stop like a heat seeker on lock
To your ear drum, let the tape run
Kraze One the phantom burning hot like a cross bun
Blimey Charlie bring your army
Going barmy shooting lyrics a'int no way you can disarm me
On self destruct mode like a kamikaze suicide runner
As I move undercover
Feeling paranoid, mad, tense and annoyed
My sanity got destroyed when reality deployed
To my brain cells, over run with circumstance
Only way to advance now to take a chance
On the attack, lines snap when I rap
One for all them cats talking behind my back
Fishing for gossip, here's a lesson from the prophet
Your standing at the line, this what happens when you cross it.

[[Fa-Real]]
B-Boys that's what we are
B-Boys soon to go far
So we can all go ya woo ha
To the super dope rhymes that I busta
Na get flustered on the floor
Pace yourself brace yourself for some more
Hardcore Hip Hop music
The floors right there ra there ya to go use it
Fa-Real, yo that's my stage name
And I be taking the blame if the place goes up in flames
F*** the games I'm here to do work
Hype the beat and make the crowd go bazerk
Now that hurt I know you must have felt it
My rhymes drop phat like a uni marker felt tip
And I'm well hip to the whole game
I freak the weak and put a maim on the tame.

[[Kraze One]]
Kraze One, lyric assassination
Causing pandemonium when I hold the mic for ransom
The protocol, breaking it down to just a molecule
lyrical tool as fools are left dissolved like a soluble
Can you break down the menagerie
Words, phrases, syllables, in this vocabulary
Like a battery, lyrically stored
I get on the mic, release a vocal chord
The pattern break, ground shake like an earthquake
Expose the fake, get a verbal intake
From the lyricist, like a nuclear reaction
Shattered in to pieces, parts, even a fraction
From the core, once more the competitor
True Elementor, raw, the borough checker
Verbal selector, wisdom and word play
Bounce and ricochet look from today.
